About the band....
T’Akila Jones (TJ) is a five piece band based in Northern Virginia that has fast become a crowd favorite since forming in November of 2010. TJ stuns with a night of music that keeps fans eagerly wondering what they are going to perform next. Their selection of music from all genres gives you a diverse night of dance/party music that mixes with their own styling, creating a live show that is truly unique. TJ’s stage show is by far one of the most impressive bands that you will hear and see. The powerhouse vocals and diverse instrumentation mixed with the raw intensity of the band guarantees a night of memorable singing and dancing.
T’Akila Jones is….Akila O’Grady- Lead Vocals, Rob Jones – Guitar/Vocals, Steven Baron- Bass/Vocals, Michael Barago- Keyboards/Vocals, Michael D’Onofrio- Percussion. Each member has brought in a style and flavor to the band that enables TJ to bring out a fresh and real feeling to the music that they play. Playing such artists as Patti Labelle, Gym Class Heroes, Bon Jovi, Rhianna, Billy Joel, Katy Perry, Jason Aldean, Journey, Prince, The Black Eyed Peas and much more, the bands true diversity comes out in each song.

Equipment
Along with the great music, TJ owns a professional sound and lighting system that we transport in a fully enclosed trailer and can accommodate small to large venues with ease. The band prides itself in its professional and friendly approach with their fans as well as business owners, staff and associates.

TJ plays the local scene aka, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and D.C., as well as almost any other location/state. The band can also do events that are on weekdays depending on desired start time. So feel free to contact us via the "contact" page for bookings.
